Horse riding in the Balearic Islands

Three islands, three ways to ride.

Menorca is flat. Its highest point, Monte Toro, stands at 358 metres. Dry-stone walls and enclosed fields shape the island, which is a biosphere reserve. On Mallorca lies the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011. Ibiza is rural and white, with fortified churches. The weather is mild. In Palma the average daily highs are about 15 degrees in January and about 31 degrees in July and August. In July only around 5 millimetres of rain fall. Planning hint: spring and autumn are often more comfortable for longer rides, and in summer the start time decides. Ask the provider about riding level, duration, terrain and start time. —
