Horse riding in Tuscany
Limestone hills, chestnut woods, vineyards: you ride through Tuscany.
Montepulciano stands on a limestone hill between the Val d'Orcia and the Valdichiana. Montieri lies on a slope, surrounded by chestnut forests. San Gimignano probably had 72 tower houses, and 14 survive. The town has been a World Heritage Site since 1990. Our offers also name Florence, Pisa and Chianti. In addition there are rides that carry only Tuscany as their place. The year of the vines sets the pace. In Chianti Classico they bud in April, the grapes ripen from late September to mid October, and the leaves fall in the second half of November. Planning hint: if you want to see the wine landscape in transition, look at spring or early autumn. Ask the provider about riding level, duration, starting point and whether lunch or a wine tasting is part of the ride. —
